New Writer

This is Kelly, and I'm going to blog for a few weeks until Terry stops being crabby :)  We'll see if he edits that one!  I am not nearly as creative, but I'll make sure I post every Sunday.

I do have a question for all our "faithful" readers.  Has anyone done a fun race or a memorable running related event in the last month or two?  If you have, leave a comment.  Thanks!

This week there will be some first time TRY-ers in addition to the regular cast of characters.  For those who are new runners, Ron will lead a two mile run at a comfortable pace for everyone.  For those looking for speed work, we will stick with quarters again.  There will be a 1 mile group warm up, 4-6 quarter mile repeats, quarter mile rest between each, and a 1 mile cool down.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone out there at OLP!

How about this? I would like to recommend an upcoming race -- The "Mad Co.w" 5k, coming up in two Saturdays. I helped them fund raise last year and will be there again this year with my bells (and hats). Depending on where my leg is at, I hope to participate this year as well.

It's very country. Rather small and is winnable for the elite women among us.

Memorable race moment? Last mile of the Musselman. My body had abandoned me and every time I heard quick footsteps coming from behind I thought to myself, "Please don't be Kelly, Please don't be Kelly..."

wow we got a double post this week! :) I had a ton of fun with Paige's Butterfly Run, but that was the last race I ran. Sorry I won't be at Try again this week, but have fun! :)

Wow I think the last race I ran was the Boilermaker 2010. I'm lazy!
I also like this two blog thing... keeps me occupied in the morning at work ;-)
Tim and I will not be able to make it to TRY tonight, but I'm happy to say I did speed work on my own yesterday! See you all next week!

Highly recommend the Yellow Brick Road 8K in Chittenango for everyone. It was a great course, and it is a couple weeks before the Boilermaker, so it is a good wind up.
